he Exempt Firemen's Association is one of the
regions oldest and largest voice for volunteer firefighters, having been established in November of 1886 by Oliver H. Booth. A Main Street firehouse O. H. Booth Hose Company is named after him. Headquartered at 200 Mansion Street in the City of Poughkeepsie the Association represents over 2,200 dues paying members.

The Exempt Firemen's Club will be closed as of
March 16, 2020 in accordance with Governor Cuomo's orders to help fight the Coronavirus. We will announce when we are able to open again.
The May 13, 2020 General Membership meeting has
been canceled. If restrictions are lifted our next
general membership meeting will be Wednesday
June 10, 2020.
